The Future Continuous Tense . Будущее продолженное время.
Поставьте глагол в скобках в форму будущего времени, переведите предложения на русский язык.
1. They (return) in the evening. 2. Clara (write) to us next Monday. 3. She (take) the children to the park tomorrow. 4. In 10 minutes he (be) able to speak to us. 5. I (leave) a message for them on the table. 6. The lesson (finish) at 12 o’clock. 7. Soon we (see) a new play of our drama society. 8. I hope she (make) progress in English.
В сложноподчиненных предложениях с придаточными времени и условия после слов: если - if , когда - when , как только - as soon as , до тех пор пока - till (until), после - after, прежде - before в английском языке вместо простого будущего времени используется простое настоящее.
If you run fast, you will win the race. I’ll phone you when I come home. Linda won’t go to the party if Connie doesn’t come with her.
The Past Continuous Tense Прошедшее продолженное время.
Употребление:
1. Для обозначения действия, которое происходило в определенный момент в прошлом.
At 9 o’clock last night we were walking in the park.
2. Для обозначения действия, которое находилось в процессе, и было прервано другим действием.
Действие в процессе передаём, используя Past Continuous , менее продолжительное действие при помощи Past Simple.
She was cooking when the doorbell rang.
3. Для обозначения двух и более действий, которые происходили одновременно.
David was reading a newspaper while Mary was playing chess with their son.
Was/were + Ving
+ The sun was shining. + The birds were singing.
- The sun wasn’t shining - The birds weren’t singing
? Was the sun shining? ? Were the birds singing?

Употребление:
1. Для обозначения действия, которое будет происходить в определенный момент в будущем.
This time next week we will be moving to a new flat.
2. Для обозначения действия, которое точно произойдет в будущем в результате договоренности или установленного распорядка.
Dоn’t leave Ann a message. I’ll be seeing her in a half an hour, I’ll tell her everything.
3. Когда мы вежливо интересуемся чьими-то планами на будущее, чтобы попросить этого человека что-то для нас сделать.
