UNIT 1. FAMILY
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Let me introduce myself. My name is Ivan. I was named after my father and I am very proud of it. I was born in 1985 in the family of official workers. My father’s name is Ivan Petrovich. He is 50 years old. He is an economist by profession. He works a lot and he has free time only on weekends. My mother’s name is Svetlana Ivanovna. She is 50. She works as a teacher. She is a pleasant-looking woman. I like my parents. I am not the only child in the family. I have a brother and a sister. The name of my brother is Peter. He is 18 years old. He is a student. My sister is Irene. She is 8.
Now I am a first-year student of the correspondence faculty at the Bryansk Branch of the Oryol Regional Academy of State Service. I’m going to become a manager. Meanwhile I work as an accountant. I’m fond of my work.
My family lives in Klintsy of the Bryansk region. My native place is very beautiful. There is nice nature. You can see many fields, forests. There are comfortable houses and blocks of flats. We live in a three-room flat with central heating, running water, gas and so on. There is a kitchen, a bathroom, a hall, a sitting-room, a bedroom and a study.
We are a united Russian family. We respect each other. And I hope I`ll be the pride of my parents.
