Base data can be created in connection with the benchmark tool on a building block basis. There are a number of building blocks, which can be activated or deactivated to allow a customization of the build database. Each block is also associated with a scaling. This scaling allows the setup of companies with various weights on trade, inventory, project etc. The scaling influences the number of records created within the block, so the higher the scale, the more records.

To see the number of records, click the Setup button. A new form, Base Data Creation form will open (See Figure 3: Base data creation). The number of records that will be created for each table is displayed here. It is possible to change the number of records to be created.

Note: A general scale up should be performed within the building block using the scaling factor mentioned above. The scaling factor only takes effect on a selected number of tables. The scaling has no influence on tables where the number of records is more or less fixed for all companies.
